WELCOME TO MOUNTAIN VIEW ATHLETICS — HOME OF THE PANTHERS!

We offer many sports throughout the school year for all of our students. In the fall, we have soccer, volleyball, and cross country. Winter brings us 6–8 Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball, as well as 4–5 Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball.  For the spring, we offer baseball, softball, and track. There are lots of things to keep our students busy.

For each sport, you will find necessary season information and a practice/game schedule to help keep your calendars straight. I will also include fundraiser information on the Athletics site, and a Wish List for anyone who is interested in donating to our program.

When important events are coming up for Mountain View Athletics, we will announce the information in the morning announcements, but I also place the information on our website for more access. You can usually find what you are looking for on our website under the Athletics tab.

For the mandatory Athletics Packet, I have created an electronic form that you can fill out online and then email directly to me. I am hoping that this will be easier for parents and will significantly reduce the amount of paper used in the process. Along with the form, I have included step-by-step Digital Signature directions to make the process easier.

Season Dates

**Please note:  These dates are just estimates to give you an idea of when the seasons run. As the season for each sport approaches, we will announce specific tryout dates and times.

Cross Country
Season runs from August to October

Soccer / Volleyball
Tryouts: Late August (1st or 2nd week of school)
Season runs from August to October

Girls’ Basketball
Tryouts: Late October
Season runs from October to December (ends before Winter Break)

Boys’ Basketball
Tryouts: Late November/Early December
Season runs from December to late February (The 8th boys’ season may extend to March if they become qualified for the Crescent City Tourney.)

4–5 Basketball
Tryouts: Mid-January
Season runs from January to late March

Softball
Tryouts: February
Season runs from February to April

Baseball
Tryouts: Late February
Season runs from February to April

Track
Pre-Season: Mid-March
Season runs from March to mid-May

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ATHLETICS FORM

  1.  Fill out the editable PDF form for your child’s sport. PDFs can be filled out if you have a program like Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you don’t have that on your computer, you can use a web service like Lumin or DocHub and access the form straight from Google Docs.
  2. Upload your Athletics form to our contact form. Your form will be submitted directly to the athletics department for review.
